Synchronising ignition keys to remote control
Synchronising ignition keys to remote control
Synchronisation can be required when the vehicle does not open or close as requested by pressing the remote control buttons, or equivalent faults are registered when the measured value block is read. It may be the case that the key code no longer matches the control unit code. This can happen if the key's sender button is frequently pressed outside the system's effective range.
The vehicle key(s) must then be resynchronised. The synchronisation process should not take longer than one minute.
–  Press either the opening or closing button once on the radio wave key to be learnt for approx. one second.
The central locking will not react. However, a valid permanent code will be recognised and the programmable code word will be saved.
–  Open or close the vehicle mechanically within one minute using this radio wave key.
The key will be recognised as a valid mechanical code. A new programmable code is agreed between the control unit and keys. The synchronisation procedure is closed.
–  Perform functional check of the radio wave key.
