The assemblies and the pipe work of the air conditioner system are filled with R12 (difluorodichloromethane CF2Cl2) as a refrigerant, up to and including model year 1992. Before performing service requiring the opening of the refrigerant circuit, the system must be converted to refrigerant R134a: => Workshop Manual "Air conditioning - with refrigerant R12, 1974 ▸" At present the R12 refrigerant pressure vessels are labelled with the following trade names:
