Troubleshooting Automatic Gearbox Issues with Fault Reader VAG 1551

Fault finding with fault readerV.A.G 1551 on “automatic gearbox”
   
Fault finding with fault reader -V.A.G 1551- on “automatic gearbox”
Fault reader -V.A.G 1551-
                          
         Connect fault reader -V.A.G 1551- and
select 1- Rapid data transfer		      
           ↓       
    ↓←←←←Enter address word 02 gearbox electronics      
    ↓    ↓             
 Compare control unit identification→→→↓             
    ↓      ↓          
   ↓  Read fault memory 02→No fault recognized    
 Identification   ↓    ↓    
 not OK. Rectify faults using fault table  End   
   ↓    ↓           
 Renew control unit Read measured value block 08→→↓       
   ↓       ↓    ↓  
   ↓     Renew component Gearbox: perform electrical tests 
   ↓       ↓   ↓   ↓  
   ↓       ↓ Specification achieved Specification not achieved 
   ↓       ↓   ↓      ↓   
   ↓       ↓   ↓  ↓  
   ↓       ↓   ↓Check wiring according to CFD 
   ↓       ↓ ↓    ↓

clear fault memory 05		←Renew component

          Initiate basic setting 04         
          ↓          
        Carry out a road test
and read fault memory 05 again		         
       ↓         
     If “no fault detected” appears on display,
self-diagnosis is completed		        
                            

If the automatic gearbox still does not shift properly after self-diagnosis has been performed, then continue fault finding using fault finding programme. → Fault finding, Power transmission, No. 14
