VR6 vehicles as of 01.95, vehicle ID No. 1H-SW 560 001
1 - Cross-head screw
2 - Brake disc
q   Always renew both sides
q   Remove brake caliper prior to removing.
q   Internally ventilated brake disc: Ø 288 mm.
q   Brake disc thickness: 25 mm.
q   Wear limit: 23 mm.
3 - Brake pads
q   Always renew both sides
q   Pads are different, piston-side pad with retaining spring.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
q   Pad thickness: 14 mm.
q   Check thickness → Booklet35.
q   Wear limit: 7 mm (including backplate).
4 - Retaining spring
q   Insert in both holes in brake caliper housing
5 - Brake carrier
q   Supplied as replacement part, assembled with sufficient grease on guide pins.
q   Use repair set if protective caps are damaged
q   Use supplied grease sachet to lubricate guide pins.
6 - Brake caliper housing
q   Do not disconnect brake hose when changing brake pads.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
7 - Guide pin, 25 Nm
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
8 - Cover plate
9 - Sealing ring
q   Renew
q   Prise off with suitable tool.
10 - Brake hose
11 - Banjo bolt, 30 Nm
12 - Self-locking combi-bolt, 125 Nm
13 - Wheel bearing housing
14 - Hexagon socket head bolt, 10 Nm
15 - Speed sensor
q   Only on vehicles with ABS.
q   Before inserting sensor, clean inner surface of hole and coat with lubricating paste -G 000 650-.
16 - Cover plate
17 - Hexagon bolt, 10 Nm
18 - Speed sensor rotor
q   Only on vehicles with ABS.
19 - Wheel hub
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
20 - Countersunk panel screw
