Determining the part number on coil springs
If the colour coding is not discernible, a code embossed in the upper spring coil can be used to determine the spring's part number
1. Example: VW/Audi logo 191 4 S
191 = type
4 = centre group of the part number (411)
S = index following the 9-digit part number
Complete part No. is: 191 411 105 S
2. Example: VW/Audi logo 191 45 AB
191 = type
4 = centre group of the part number (411)
5 = last digit of number group 105
AB = index following the 9-digit part number
Complete part No. is: 191 411 105 AB
