As part of model updating, the rear track of Golf/Vento vehicles with 4-hole wheel attachment has been reduced by 18 mm. The rear track on vehicles with 4-hole and 5-hole wheel attachment is therefore identical in the case of wheels with wheel offset depth 38.
   
Introduction was gradual.
The change in track influences wheel clearance in the wheel housing and to the rear axle.
All genuine VW wheels for the Golf/Vento can also be installed on vehicles as of 08.93.
Wheels from the accessories range with sizes and wheel depth offsets different from those of the standard wheels may possibly not have sufficient clearance.
A - 1358 mm in the case of rear axles with reduced track
B - 1376 mm in the case of rear axles up to 07.93
