| Always renew damaged pillar trim; never repair. |

| Curtain airbags must not be kinked or twisted. |

| After bodywork repairs in the vicinity of the curtain airbag, check area for weld spray droplets, deformations and abrasive areas (compare with opposite side if necessary). |

| If an ignited curtain airbag is renewed, generally the moulded headlining, door seals with beading, curtain airbag guides, grab handle brackets, trim on the A, B and C pillars and, if installed, D-pillar trim must also be renewed. If damaged, (rear) interior reading lights, roof grab handles and roof frame trim must be renewed. |
