Removing –  Note or request radio code on vehicles with coded radio if necessary. –  Disconnect battery

–  Remove the 2 bolts -1-. –  Unclip upper trim -2-. –  Remove the 2 bolts -3-. –  Unclip upper trim -4-.

–  Remove the 7 bolts -arrows-. –  Remove reinforcement -1-.

The jaw rate sender -G202--1- and the lateral acceleration sensor -G200--2- are secured to the bearing block for the steering column -3-. a -  Steering column

–  Pull connectors -arrows- from yaw rate sender -G202- and lateral acceleration sensor -G200-. –  Remove bolt -1- and remove yaw rate sender -G202- and lateral acceleration sensor -G200- Removing yaw rate sender -G202-

–  Remove nuts -a- from yaw rate sender -G202--1-. –  Remove yaw rate sender -G202-. Installing yaw rate sender -G202-   WARNING Strong vibrations or heavy impact may destroy the yaw rate sender -G202-. –  Insert yaw rate sender -G202- and align so that it is straight.

–  Tighten nuts -a- on yaw rate sender -G202--1-. Removing lateral acceleration sensor -G200-

–  Lever retainer -1- off lateral acceleration sensor -G200- -2- with a screwdriver. –  Remove lateral acceleration sensor -G200-. Installing lateral acceleration sensor -G200-   WARNING Strong vibrations or heavy impact may destroy the lateral acceleration sensor -G200-. –  Insert lateral acceleration sensor -G200- into retainer.

–  Installation position: angled side -arrow- of lateral acceleration sensor -G200--1- must face retainer -2-. –  Slide retainer -2- over lateral acceleration sensor -G200--1- until it engages. –  Install in reverse order. –  Enter radio code. –  Perform basic settings for lateral acceleration sensor -G200- and yaw rate sender -G202-. Connecting -VAS 5051- and selecting functions → Chapter.

Specified torques
Yaw rate sender -G200- to retainer	9 Nm
Hexagon bolt to steering column mounting bracket	20 Nm
