1 - Knock sensor 1 -G61-
q   Gold-plated contacts.
2 - Connector
q   For knock sensor 1 -G61-.
q   Gold-plated contacts.
q   Do not interchange → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations.
3 - 20 Nm
q   The torque setting influences the function of the knock sensor.
4 - Connector
q   For knock sensor 2 -G66-.
q   Gold-plated contacts.
q   Do not interchange → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations.
5 - Knock sensor 2 -G66-
q   Gold-plated contacts.
6 - Dipstick guide
7 - Oil dipstick
q   The oil level must not be above the max. mark!
q   Markings → Fig.
8 - Coolant pipe
q   Coolant hose schematic diagram → Chapter.
9 - 25 Nm
10 - Bracket
q   For ignition coil.
11 - 10 Nm
12 - 10 Nm
13 - Bracket
14 - 10 Nm
15 - Seal
q   Renew.
16 - Oil filter bracket
q   Dismantle and assemble → Chapter.
17 - 15 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further
q   Renew.
18 - Seal
q   Renew.
19 - Engine speed sender -G28-
20 - Seal
q   Renew if damaged.
21 - Connection
22 - 15 Nm
23 - Thermostat
q   Check: heat up thermostat in water bath.
q   Starts to open at approx. 86°C.
q   Opening stroke approx. 7 mm.
q   Remove and install → Chapter.
24 - 45 Nm
q   Renewing → Rep. Gr.87.
25 - Compact bracket
q   For poly V-belt tensioning roller, alternator, power steering vane pump and air conditioner compressor.
26 - Cylinder block
q   Removing and installing sealing flange and flywheel or drive plate → Chapter
q   Removing and installing oil pump with balancer shaft gear assembly → Chapter.
q   Remove and install crankshaft → Chapter.
q   Dismantling and assembling pistons and conrods → Chapter.
