| Cut off tube nozzle at forward marking (approx. 3 mm nozzle Ø). |

| Apply silicone sealing compound, as shown, to clean sealing surface of intermediate plate. |

| Sealant bead thickness -arrows-: 2...3 mm |

| Before applying sealant bead, cover sealing surface of oil seal with a clean cloth. |

| The sealant bead must not be thicker. Otherwise excess sealing compound will enter the oil sump and may block the oil suction line strainer. |

| Observe the use-by date of the sealing compound. |

| The sealing flange must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the silicone sealing compound -D 176 404 A2-. |

| When fitting sealing flange with oil seal installed, use assembly tool -T10053/1-. |
| t
| Sealing compound must dry for approx. 30 minutes after installation. Only then fill with engine oil. |

| Fit sealing flange immediately and lightly tighten all bolts. |
| –
| Tighten sealing flange securing bolts diagonally. Torque setting: 15 Nm. |
| –
| Remove excess sealing compound. |
