  Note
t  After working on the exhaust system ensure that the system is not under stress, and that there is sufficient clearance to the bodywork. If necessary, loosen double clamps and align silencer and exhaust pipe so that sufficient clearance is maintained to the bodywork and the support rings are evenly loaded.
t  Renew self-locking nuts.
   
1 - Gasket
q   Renew
q   Note installation position.
2 - 25 Nm
q   Renew
3 - 23 Nm
4 - Heat shield
5 - Coolant pipe
q   Coolant hose schematic diagram → Chapter
6 - Lambda probe -G39-, 50 Nm
q   Grease only the threads with “G 052 112 A3”; “G 052 112 A3” must not get into the slots on the probe body
q   Remove and install with lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-.
7 - Connector
q   Black, 6-pin.
8 - Connector
q   Black, 4-pin
9 - Lambda probe after catalytic converter -G130-, 50 Nm
q   Grease only the threads with “G 052 112 A3”; “G 052 112 A3” must not get into the slots on the probe body
q   Remove and install with lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-.
10 - To front silencer
q   → Item
11 - 8 Nm
12 - Heat shield
q   For catalytic converter
13 - Securing clip
14 - Front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter
15 - Gasket
q   Renew
16 - Exhaust manifold
q   Tighten securing nuts on flange to exhaust pipe in diagonal sequence
