t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331/- (5...50 Nm)
  Note
t  Air conditioner compressor bracket and related parts can be removed and installed without opening refrigerant circuit.
t  Removing poly V-belt → Rep. Gr.13.

4 - Vibration damper

q   Removing → Rep. Gr.27.

q   Repairing air conditioning system magnetic coupling -N25- → Chapter.
Manufacturer Zexel:
q   Repairing air conditioning system magnetic coupling -N25- → Chapter.
9 - Guide bush
10 - Bracket for alternator, air conditioner compressor and power steering vane pump
q   Part number for bracket 045 903 143 A.
q   Part number for bracket for engine code BEW: 045 903 141 C.
Removing:
q   First remove alternator, air conditioner compressor and power steering vane pump → Rep. Gr.27 → Rep. Gr.48.
q   Remove air conditioner compressor from bracket and secure to body with suitable material (e.g. uncoated wire) → Chapter.
Installing:
q   Observe tightening sequence -A to F-
11 - Hexagon combi-bolt
q   M10×45
q   50 Nm, observe tightening sequence -A to F-.
q   Qty. 6
12 - Hexagon combi-bolt
q   M8×40
q   25 Nm.
13 - Hexagon combi-bolt
q   M8×40
q   25 Nm.
q   Qty. 3
14 - Power steering vane pump
q   Removing → Rep. Gr.48.
15 - Poly V-belt pulley
16 - Hexagon socket head bolt
q   M8×14
q   25 Nm.
q   Qty. 3
17 - Hexagon socket head bolt
q   M8×37
q   10 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn further)
q   Renew.
