Possible causes of faultRectifying fault
Selector element (clutch or brake) defectiveCheck which gear changes have a hard shift:
–  To do this, connect a Volkswagen tester → Chapter.
–  Carry out test drive. The table “positions of selector elements ” provide information about which selector elements are affected → Chapter.
–  Renew affected selector elements.
