Installing > < Removing and installing subframe

Removing
Removing
–  Remove wheel.
–  Remove noise insulation.
   
–  Unscrew hexagon nuts for coupling rods -arrow- on right and left of anti-roll bar.
–  Unscrew nuts from swivel joint.

–  Install ball joint splitter as shown in illustration and press out swivel joint.
  Note
Leave nut screwed on a few turns to protect thread on swivel joint.

–  Remove pendulum support -arrows A- and -B-.
  N34-0712
–  Remove bolts -1- for steering box.
–  Position engine and gearbox jack -V.A.G 1383 A- under subframe with -V.A.G 1359/2-.
–  Remove bolts -3- and -4- for subframe.
–  Lower subframe using engine and gearbox jack -V.A.G 1383 A-.
