Abbreviation for Part Number.
Steering angle sender
The steering angle sender detects the direction, left or right, and distance in which the steering wheel is turned.
Data is transmitted to the control unit via the data bus lines.
Heli-Coil
A spring steel spiral which is screwed into a threaded hole and in turn serves as inner thread for a bolt.
Hytrel (polyester elastomer)
Material possessing elasticity of rubber especially at room temperature to decomposition temperature.
PR No.
Abbreviation of production control number. They identify, among other things, optional equipment, variations specific to certain countries and running gear information.
Rep. Gr.
Abbreviation for repair group.
Settling
Plastic (irreversible) deformation of car springs due to weight of vehicle.
Toe
Offset of wheel plane to direction of travel.
Toe out on turns
Difference between steering angle of inner and outer wheels during a turn.
Camber
Angle between wheel plane and a plane vertical to road surface. It is positive when the top of the wheel leans outwards and negative when it leans inwards.
AF
Abbreviation for across flats.
Triple roller joint
Widely used version of constant velocity joint with three rollers in the form of a star.
