Converting headlights for driving on the left or right
Converting headlights for driving on the left or right
  Note
t  To avoid dazzling oncoming traffic with asymmetrical lights, both headlights should be converted for driving on the left or right side of the road, as appropriate for the country in which the vehicle is being driven.
t  The corresponding headlight conversion set consists of two sections of foil.
t  Conversion of the headlights using foil is not designed as a permanent conversion for other countries. It is only suitable as a “tourist solution” for a short stay in another country.
t  Both headlights of a vehicle must always be converted.
t  The details “right” and “left” on the masking foil always refer to the direction of travel when viewing from inside the vehicle.
Conversion of the headlights is by means of adhesive foil, which is applied to the headlight in a prescribed position. The adhesive masking foil changes the way the road ahead is lit up and prevents oncoming traffic from being dazzled. This measure is intended for left-hand drive vehicles that are to be used temporarily in countries which drive on the left or for right-hand drive vehicles in countries which drive on the right. Take note of the different part numbers to convert vehicles from driving on the left to driving on the right and from driving on the right to driving on the left.
