Renewing seal on bevel box between gearbox and bevel box > < Renewing seal for right flange shaft on outside of bevel box

Renewing needle bearing (polygon bearing) for right output shaft drive flange
   
Renewing needle bearing (polygon bearing) for right output shaft drive flange
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Pressure plate -VW 401-
t  Pressure plate -VW 402-
t  Press tool -VW 407-
t  Press tool -VW 412-
t  Assembly tool -VAS 3253-
t  Clamp -T10047-

Procedure
–  Remove right flange shaft → Chapter.
   
–  Mount clamp -T10047- so that marks „B“ on both parts of tool are facing one another.
l  The shoulders -arrows- must then be below the bearing.
–  Screw both parts together up to stop.

–  Remove retaining ring -A- for bearings.
  N39-0785
–  Turn shaft while pressing it off -arrow-. This will prevent damage to bearing race on shaft.
–  Secure bearing with a new retaining ring.
–  Install right flange shaft → Chapter.
