Preparing installation of multi-clutch

Overview

1 -	Multi-clutch

q	Cover secured with retaining ring

q	Remove carefully

2 -	10 retaining rings

q	in 0.1 millimetre steps

3 -	Cover (end cover)

q	Ensure that inner sealing lip is not damaged → Chapter

4 -	Retaining ring

q	For cover.

–	When removing clutch, press against cover to prevent clutch cover and plate carriers from slipping.

Note

Make sure that the 4 piston rings are correctly located.

(Ring gaps must not be over each other)

Rings must move freely and must not bind.

Position of clutch cover

–	First check whether there is a marking on clutch -arrow-.

–	If there is no marking, make a paint mark so that „lug“ on cover can subsequently be set to this marked point.

–	Set down clutch so that it cannot tip over.

The clutch is now ready for installation → Chapter.
