t  Lubricate bearing positions and sliding surfaces.
t  Allocate grease using → Electronic parts catalogue (ETKA).
t  Dismantling and assembling selector mechanism → Chapter.
1 - Base plate
q   Bend open tabs to remove
q   Always renew
2 - Seal
q   Always renew
3 - Gear lever
q   Can be removed and installed with gear lever guide → Item installed
4 - Damping washer
q   Push onto gear lever up to stop -arrow-
5 - Securing clip
q   Do not damage cables when removing
q   Always renew
6 - Gate selector cable
q   Lever off gate selector lever
q   Press onto gate selector lever inside selector mechanism
q   Installation position → Chapter
7 - Bush
8 - Gear selector cable
q   Lever off gear lever guide
q   Press onto gear lever guide inside selector mechanism
q   Installation position → Chapter
9 - Damping
10 - Ball socket
q   Will be damaged when removed.
q   Always renew
11 - Bush
12 - Securing clip
q   Removing and installing → Fig.
13 - Compression spring
q   Removing and installing → Fig.
14 - Bush
15 - Gear lever guide
16 - Hexagon nut M8, 25 Nm, hexagon nut M 6, 8 Nm
