| q | Do not additionally oil or grease the oil seal sealing lip. |
| q | Before installing, remove oil residue from crankshaft journal using a clean cloth. |
| q | Renewing crankshaft oil seal - pulley end → Chapter. |
| 2 - | Sealing flange |
| q | Must seat on dowel sleeves. |
| q | To remove, first remove sump → Chapter |
| q | Removing and installing → Chapter. |
| q | Install with silicone sealant -D 176 404 A2- → Chapter. |
| 3 - | Cylinder block |
| q | Removing and installing crankshaft → Chapter. |
| q | Dismantling and assembling pistons and conrods → Chapter. |
| 4 - | 60 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further |
| q | Renew. |
| 5 - | Flywheel |
| q | To remove and install flywheel, counter-hold with 3067. |
| 6 - | Intermediate plate |
| q | Must seat on dowel sleeves. |
| q | Do not damage or bend when assembling. |
| 7 - | 15 Nm |
| q | Renew. |
| 8 - | Sealing flange with oil seal |
| q | Renew complete with oil seal and sender wheel only. |
| q | To remove, first remove sump → Chapter |
| q | Removing and installing → Chapter. |
| 9 - | Engine speed sender -G28- |
| q | Loosen and tighten using commercially available ball-ended hex key socket. |
| q | Torque setting: 5 Nm. |
| q | Removing and installing → Chapter. |
