| q | Before installing check sealing surfaces on intake manifold for soiling, clean if necessary. |
| q | If the exhaust gas recirculation valve -N18- with exhaust gas recirculation potentiometer -G212- is renewed the ignition must be switched off and then on again. Then await the control unit check for one minute (valve learnt, main relay must click). |
| q | Start engine and run at idling speed for one minute. |
| q | Then read engine control unit fault memory, there must not be a fault stored → Chapter. |
| q | If a fault is stored, erase fault memory and repeat work sequence. |
