t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6340-
  W00-10380
t  Torque wrench (5…50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-
  W00-0427
t  Hose clamps up to 40 mm -3093-
Removing
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove throttle valve module → Chapter.
–  Press release button -2- and pull fuel supply line off.

–  Separate push-on couplings → Chapter.
  A20-1065
–  Release and pull off connector -1-.
–  Clamp off coolant hoses -4- with hose clips up to 40 mm -3093-.
–  Pull off coolant hoses -4- after first opening the retaining clips.
–  Unclip lines -2- from bracket.
–  Unscrew securing bolts -3- of intake manifold.
–  Unclip the other lines.
–  Remove intake manifold.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Specified torque of securing bolts for intake manifold: 20 Nm.
Specified torques and installation sequence for charge air cooler → Chapter
