Removing and installing continued coolant circulation pumpV51
Removing and installing continued coolant circulation pump -V51-
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clamps up to 25 mm -3094-
  W00-0079
t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6362-
Removing
Proceed as follows:
  WARNING
When the engine is warm, the cooling system is under pressure.
Hot steam/hot coolant can escape - risk of scalding.
Cover filler cap on expansion tank with a cloth and open carefully to dissipate pressure.
–  Open filler cap on expansion tank.
–  Remove noise insulation → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50

–  Disconnect electrical connector -1- for continued circulation coolant pump -V51-.
–  Place drip tray for workshop crane -VAS 6208- beneath engine.
–  Clamp off coolant hoses -arrows- with hose clips -3094-.
–  Disconnect coolant hoses from continued coolant circulation pump -V51-.
–  Remove bolt -2- and detach continued coolant circulation pump -V51-.
Installing
l  Specified torques → Chapter.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Check coolant level.
