Removing and installing sender wheel > < Crankshaft

1 - 65 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) further
q   Renew
q   Threaded along complete length
q   Only tighten to 65 Nm when measuring crankshaft radial clearance. Do not turn further.
2 - Bearing cap
q   Bearing cap 1: Pulley end
q   Bearing shell retaining lugs in cylinder block and bearing caps must align.
3 - 10 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further
q   Renew
4 - Sender wheel
q   For engine speed sender -G28-
q   Always renew sender wheel if securing bolts have been unscrewed.
q   Can only be installed in one position, holes are offset.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
5 - Crankshaft
q   Axial clearance new: 0.07…0.23 mm, wear limit 0.30 mm
q   Check radial clearance with Plastigage new: 0.017…0.037 mm, wear limit: 0.07 mm.
q   Do not rotate crankshaft when checking radial clearance.
q   Crankshaft dimensions → Chapter.
6 - Thrust washers
q   For bearing 3
7 - Bearing shell for cylinder block
q   With oil groove.
q   Classification for ordering spare parts → Chapter.
q   Do not interchange used bearing shells (mark).
8 - Sprocket
q   For oil pump drive.
9 - Bearing shell for bearing cap
q   Without oil groove.
q   Do not interchange used bearing shells (mark).
