  Note
When installing the oil pump, note the following: first tighten all securing bolts by hand. Then tighten oil pressure pipe → Item to cylinder block and then to oil pump → Item. Finally tighten oil pump with securing bolts → Item.
   
1 - Shim
2 - Drive shaft
q   For oil pump drive.
3 - Oil pump housing
4 - 23 Nm
5 - Oil pump cover with pressure relief valve
q   Opening pressure: 5.3…5.7 bar.
q   Clean strainer if soiled.
6 - Gears
q   Checking backlash → Fig..
q   Checking axial clearance → Fig..
7 - Oil pressure pipe
q   On oil pump housing coat with AMV 188 001 02
q   Secure only with new „microencapsulated“ bolts
8 - 8 Nm
q   Renew.
9 - Seal
q   Renew if damaged.
10 - 8 Nm
