Note | The Golf as of 06/2007 is equipped with a fourth-generation immobiliser with online link and download. The main component of the fourth generation immobilizer is a central database, in which all of the theft-relevant data from the participating control units is stored. Adapting the control units associated with the immobilizer is not possible without an online link to this database. |
