Removing and installing gas discharge bulb control unit
Removing and installing gas discharge bulb control unit
  Note
The left gas discharge bulb control unit -J343- or right gas discharge bulb control unit -J344- is not capable of self-diagnosis.
Removing:
–  Remove headlight → Chapter.
   
–  Unscrew securing bolts -arrows- of gas discharge bulb control unit-1-.
  Note
For removal of the gas discharge bulb control unit, there is no need to remove any connectors. The connector is fixed on the headlight and is automatically separated when the gas discharge control unit is removed.
–  Remove gas discharge control unit-1- from headlight.
Installing:
  Caution
Ensure that the seal is seated correctly when installing the gas discharge bulb control unit. The ingress of water will lead to permanent damage to the headlight.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing observe the following:
–  Check headlight functions.
–  Carry out headlight basic setting → Booklet38.
