Door alignment - shut lines and flushness
  Note
t  The door is adjusted correctly if the gaps/shut lines are even all around, the door is not too deep or does not stand proud and all contours align when the is door closed.
t  Vehicle must be standing on its wheels on flat level ground when adjustments are performed.
   
Adjusting shut lines
–  Note front door gap dimensions → Rep. gr.00.
Adjustments are carried out using eccentric pin -7-.
Other measures such as raising the door have no effect. Subsequent pressure from above will cause the door to sack again.
–  Loosen bolt for eccentric pin -7-.
–  Adjust eccentric pin -9- within adjustment range -6- using 15 mm ring spanner -T10344-.
–  Tighten bolt -7-. Specified torque: 28 Nm
–  Adjust striker pin → Chapter.
–  If the setting range is insufficient, proceed as described in the following chapter → Chapter.
Adjusting for flush fitting
Use bolts -2, 3, 5, 8 and 10- on door hinge to adjust flush fitting correctly.
Use door alignment tool -3320- with bit -3320/3-.
–  Adjusting upper area of door, loosen bolts -8 and 10-.
–  Specified torque for bolt -10-: 10 Nm
–  Specified torque for bolt -8-: 38 Nm.
–  To adjust lower area of door, loosen bolts -2, 3 and 5-.
–  Specified torque for bolt -2-: 10 Nm
–  Specified torque for bolts -3 and 5-: 38 Nm.
–  Adjust striker pin → Chapter.
