  WARNING
Observe the general safety regulations when working on airbag, belt tensioner and battery isolator units (pyrotechnic components) → Chapter
–  Disconnect vehicle battery → Rep. gr.27.
–  Remove bench seat → Chapter.
Vehicles ►06/2005
–  Remove side padding (4-door):
t  With rear side airbags → Chapter
t  with no rear side airbags → Chapter
–  Remove wheel housing trim (4-door) → Chapter
Vehicles with rear side airbag, 06/2005►
–  Remove side padding (4-door):
t  With rear side airbags → Chapter
–  Remove wheel housing trim (4-door) → Chapter
Vehicles without rear side airbag, 06/2005►
–  Remove wheel housing trim, 4-door, without rear side airbag → Chapter.
   
–  Press connector securing device -1- to rear -arrow- and pull connector -2- off crash sensor -4-.
–  Remove the two bolts -3- (9 Nm).
