Removing and installing manual lumbar support frame (Golf 2009 ►)
Removing and installing manual lumbar support frame (Golf 2009 ►)
  Note
Removal and installation are described for the left vehicle side. Follow same instructions for the right side as appropriate.
Removing
–  Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-.
–  Remove front seat → Chapter.
–  Secure seat to seat repair stand -VAS 6136-.
–  Remove right side trim on seat → Chapter.
–  Remove left side trim on seat → Chapter.
–  Remove front seat backrest → Chapter.
–  Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-.
–  Remove lumbar adjustment lever → Chapter.
–  Remove cover and backrest padding from front seat → Chapter
   
–  Unscrew two actuator mechanism bolts -1- (1.5 ± 1 Nm).
–  Unhook lateral fasteners -2- and -3- from backrest frame.
–  Unhook lateral springs.
–  Release lumbar support -4- from upper mountings -arrows- in backrest frame.

Installing
–  Install in reverse order of removal.
