Installing > < Removing and installing front seat cushion cover and padding

Removing
Removing
–  Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-.
–  Remove front seat → Chapter.
–  Secure seat to seat repair stand -VAS 6136-.
–  Remove front belt buckle:
t  2-door model → Chapter
t  4-door model → Chapter
–  Remove right front seat trim → Chapter.
Vehicles with manually adjustable seat
–  Remove left side trim on seat → Chapter.
–  Remove bar and operating lever for front seat → Chapter.
Vehicles with electrically adjustable seat
–  Remove left side trim on electrically adjustable seat → Chapter.
–  Remove bar and operating lever for front seat → Chapter.
All vehicles
–  Remove front seat drawer mounting → Chapter.
–  Remove front seat backrest → Chapter.
   
–  Release profile -1- from mounting.
–  Unhook retaining straps -2- on both sides of seat.
–  Unhook retaining bars -3- from mountings on both sides of seat.
–  Unhook retaining bar -4- from mounting on front of seat.
–  Roll up cover on outer sides working around perimeter.

   
–  Using a small screwdriver, unclip cover profiles -1- from mountings -2- in padding.
–  If vehicle is equipped with seat heating, disconnect wiring harness -3- from seat frame.
–  Remove cover -4- and padding -5- from seat frame -6-.
