Removing and installing clutch pedal, Golf 2004 ►, Golf 2009 ►, Golf Plus and Scirocco

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Pliers -T10005-

t	Release tool -T10178-

Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-

First, remove over-centre spring:

Golf 2004 ► → Chapter

Golf 2009 ► left-hand drive and Scirocco → Chapter

Golf 2009 ► right-hand drive → Chapter

–	Then, release clutch pedal from master cylinder with pliers -T10005-.

–	Remove clutch pedal.

Installing

Note

Renew self-locking nuts.

–	Attach retainer -2- to master cylinder operating rod -1-.

–	Press retainer into notch in clutch pedal -3- until it can be heard to engage.

Then, install over-centre spring and clutch pedal:

Golf 2004 ► from → Fig. on

Golf 2009 ► left-hand drive and Scirocco, from → Fig. on

Golf 2009 ► right-hand drive, from → Fig. on

Golf Plus, from → Fig. on
