Removing
  Caution
Bracket for engine cover on cylinder head cover may break off if removed improperly. Remove engine cover according to following instructions under all circumstances.
   
–  Pull engine cover upwards out of fastening elements in areas of -arrows- and in sequence shown. To do this, grip beneath engine cover as far as possible.
Installing
  Caution
Ensure that the 4 fasteners (ball sockets) are correctly positioned before installing the engine cover panel; if necessary, bring them into correct position. Otherwise the engine cover panel may be damaged.

–  If necessary, press engine cover ball sockets into correct position.
–  Position engine cover on securing points and press corners into fasteners.
