Turbocharger

Note

t	Secure all hose connections with hose clips which conform to production standard.

t	Hose connections and hoses for charge air system must be free of oil and grease before assembly.

t	Charge air system must be free of leaks.

t	Renew self-locking nuts.

t	Spring-type clip pliers -VAS 5024A- or hose clip pliers -VAS 6340- are recommended for installation of spring-type clips.

Caution

Note the following points after repair work on turbocharger:

t	Fill turbocharger with engine oil at oil supply line connection.

t	After installing turbocharger run engine for approx. 1 minute at idling speed.

t	Do not rev engine, otherwise oil supply to turbocharger will not be guaranteed.
