Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Bit XZN 10 -T10154-
t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6340-
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-

Removing
Golf Plus, Eos, Scirocco, Golf, Golf Cabriolet, Touran, Polo
–  Remove noise insulation → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50.
Tiguan
–  Depending on vehicle equipment, remove noise insulation or skid plate → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50.
Continuation for all vehicles
   
–  Pull retaining clip in direction of -arrow- and pull out charge air hose -1- from charge air pipe.
  Note
Charge air hoses with screw-type clips are also installed.

–  Unscrew securing bolt for charge air pipe -arrow-.
  N21-10088
–  Remove securing bolt -arrow- for charge air pipe -1-.
  N19-10633
–  Release and pull off connector -1- on oil level and oil temperature sender -G266-.
–  Unclip bracket -2- for electric wire to oil level and oil temperature sender -G266-.
Only vehicles with an auxiliary heater
–  Remove coolant hoses for auxiliary heater.
Continuation for all vehicles
  A10-10025
–  Carefully press locking tabs on noise insulation housing for supercharger -arrows- outwards.
–  Pull off housing with noise insulation and place to one side.

–  Lift engine cover panel at points -1- and pull it forwards in direction of -arrow-.

–  Detach fuel supply line -1- and line leading to activated charcoal filter -2- by pressing the release tabs.

–  Pull off hose -1- from pressure pipe.
–  Unscrew securing bolts -2- from pressure pipe and remove pressure pipe.

–  Unscrew hose clip -1- on charge air pipe.
–  Open hose clip -2- and pull out hose.
–  Unscrew securing bolt for charge air pipe -3-.
–  Remove holder -4-.

–  To do this, unscrew bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove bracket -1-.
  Note
Charge air pressure sender -G31- with intake air temperature sender 2 -G299- is installed on rear of charge air pipe.

–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove charge pressure sender -G31--1-.
–  Remove charge air pipe downwards.

–  Loosen securing bolts -1- for coolant pump pulley.
  WARNING
As the poly V-belt is still tensioned, the pulley securing bolts must not yet be removed.
–  Remove poly V-belt (Golf Plus, Eos, Scirocco, Golf, Golf Cabriolet, Touran, Polo) → Chapter.
–  Remove poly V-belt (Tiguan) → Chapter.

–  Unscrew securing bolts -1- and pull pulley from coolant pump.
Installing
  N19-10231
–  Position pulley on coolant pump and tighten securing bolts -1- hand-tight.
–  Install poly V-belt (Golf Plus, Eos, Scirocco, Golf, Golf Cabriolet, Touran, Polo) → Chapter.
–  Install poly V-belt (Tiguan) → Chapter.
–  Tighten securing bolts to 24 Nm.
Further installation is carried out in reverse order of removal. When installing, note the following:
Specified torques:
Assembly overview - charge air system → Chapter.
Assembly overview - intake manifold → Chapter.

–  Push engine cover panel down at points -1- in direction of -arrow- until it engages.
