  Caution
The screw-type clips on the charge air pipes must be tightened to 5.5 Nm. If the torque is too low or too high, the charge air hose may slip off the charge air pipe during vehicle operation.
   
1 - Charge air cooler
q   Removing and installing (Eos, Golf Plus, Golf, Golf Cabriolet, Touran) → Chapter
q   Removing and installing (Sharan) → Chapter
q   Removing and installing, Scirocco → Chapter
q   Removing and installing (Tiguan) → Chapter.
2 - 5 Nm
3 - Mounting
q   For charge air cooler.
4 - Seal
q   Renew if damaged.
5 - Charge air hose
q   can be fixed with plug-in connectors or screw-type clips
6 - Intake manifold connection
q   With seals.
7 - Throttle valve module -J338-
q   Clean → Chapter.
q   If renewed, erase learnt values and adapt engine control unit -J623- → Vehicle diagnostic tester„Guided functions“.
8 - 7 Nm
9 - Hose clip
10 - Charge air hose
11 - 10 Nm
12 - Charge air pipe
13 - Charge air pressure sender -G31- with intake air temperature sender 2 -G299-
14 - 5 Nm
15 - Charge air hose
q   To turbocharger.
16 - Charge air pipe
17 - Charge air hose
q   can be fixed with plug-in connectors or screw-type clips
