Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213-
  W00-10259
–  Check retaining clip -1- is seated correctly on vacuum unit linkage.
Securing nut -2- must be locked with sealing paint.

–  Pull hose -arrow- off vacuum unit.

–  Fit hose -2- onto vacuum unit connection.
–  Push sliding ring -1- on hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213- to stop in direction of -arrow-.

–  Operate hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213- until a pressure of 700 mbar is displayed on pressure gauge.
Linkage of vacuum unit -1- must move in direction of -arrow-.
If pressure of 700 mbar is displayed:
Vacuum unit is OK.
If pressure drops abruptly:
–  Renew vacuum unit → Chapter.
