Renewing oil seal for vibration damper
Renewing oil seal for vibration damper
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Thrust piece -T10354-
  W00-10473
t  Puller hooks -T20143/2-
Removing
Proceed as follows:
–  Remove vibration damper → Chapter.
  W00-2958
–  Remove vibration damper and screw sleeve -T10368- on again instead.
–  Pull out oil seal using puller hooks -T20143/2-.
Installing
l  Specified torques → Chapter.
–  Clean contact surface and sealing surface.
–  Unscrew sleeve -T10368-.
  A15-10471
–  Use thrust piece -T10354- and bolt for vibration damper to pull in oil seal -arrow- onto stop.
  Note
t  Renew bolt for vibration damper.
t  Renew O-ring.
Further assembly is basically the reverse of the dismantling sequence.
