Removing and installing vacuum pump
Removing and installing vacuum pump
Removing:
Proceed as follows:
–  Remove engine cover panel → Chapter.
–  Remove air filter → Chapter.
–  Remove high-pressure pump with »roller tappet« → Chapter.
   
–  Unbolt earth cable -3- and unscrew bolt -4-.

–  Remove vacuum hose -1- from vacuum pump.

–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove vacuum pump.
  Note
The vacuum pump must not be dismantled.
Installing:
l  Specified torques → Chapter.
Perform assembly in reverse order of removal. When doing this, observe the following:
–  Clean sealing surfaces.
–  Position gasket on vacuum pump, insert 2 bolts and then position on cylinder head.
