Safety precautions when working on fuel supply system → Chapter.
Observe rules for cleanliness → Chapter.
   
–  Place container under fuel filter.
  WARNING
Fuel supply line is pressurised. Wear eye protection and protective clothing to avoid possible injury and skin contact. Before loosening hose connections, wrap a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully pulling hose off connection.
–  Detach fuel lines -1-, -2- and -3-. Disconnect push-on couplings → Chapter.
–  Remove bolt -4-.
–  Remove fuel filter.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, note the following:
Installation position:
l  Specified torque → Chapter.
l  Direction of flow is indicated with an arrow on filter housing.
l  Pin -2- on filter housing must engage in notch of guide -1- in filter bracket.
