Renewing side light bulb
Renewing side light bulb
  Note
t  The following diagrams show renewal of the left side light bulb -M1- in the left headlight.
t  The renewal of the right side light bulb -M3- for the right headlight is carried out in the same way.
t  There is no requirement to remove the headlight to replace the side light bulb.
Removing:
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.
   
–  Release cover cap -2- by turning it anti-clockwise and remove.

–  Taking connected wiring lengths into consideration, pull bulb holder -1- together with side light bulb out of reflector.

–  Pull out side light bulb-1- in -direction of arrow- in straight line from bulb holder -2-.
Side light bulb: glass-base bulb 12 V, 5 W
Installing:
  Caution
When installing cover cap, ensure cap is seated correctly. The ingress of water will lead to permanent damage to the headlight.
  Note
Do not touch bulb glass when fitting bulbs. Fingers leave traces of grease on the glass, which evaporate when the bulb is switched on and cause the glass to cloud over.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing observe the following:
–  Check headlight functions.
