The components steering column electronics control unit -J527-, steering column combination switch -E595- and the steering column switch base are available as different versions depending on manufacturer (Valeo or Kostal). Illustration of assembly overview shows Valeo version.
   
1 - Steering column electronics control unit -J527-
q   Note removal and installation sequence → Chapter.
q   Removing and installing (manufacturer: Valeo) → Chapter
q   Removing and installing (manufacturer: Kostal) → Chapter
q   Coding → Chapter
q   Securing bolt specified torque (M8): 1.5 Nm
2 - Steering column combination switch -E595-
q   Note removal and installation sequence → Chapter.
q   Removing and installing (manufacturer: Valeo) → Chapter
q   Removing and installing (manufacturer: Kostal) → Chapter
3 - Steering column switch base
q   Note removal and installation sequence → Chapter.

4 - Shear-head bolts
q   M8x20
q   Shear torque: approx. 15 Nm
5 - Steering lock housing
Steering lock housing is removed and installed together with steering column switch base.

6 - Ignition/starter switch and lock cylinder
