Radio/Stereo: Description and Operation
Heidelberg VI Radio

A new AM/FM stereo radio with autoreverse cassette will be standard equipment for VW vehicles. The system also features a six speaker sound system.

This radio has an electronic theft prevention system that is similar to the Heidelberg V radio.

What's new is that the radio is coded from the factory and the code cannot be changed. The radio code with the corresponding radio serial number can be
found on a removable sticker in the trunk on the right hand side.

This sticker should be removed and attached to the Radio-Card found on the back cover of the Radio Operating Instruction Booklet during the
Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI).

The card should be separated from the instruction booklet and given to the customer so that it can be stored in a secure place.

If the radio is disconnected from its power source, it cannot be operated until the correct code number is re-entered. Coding the radio is similar to the
Heidelberg V Radio.
