SERVICE SOLUTION

Replace cover gasket 3, with metal gasket, Part No. 010 409 597A.

Apply sealant compound, Part No. AKD 456 000 02, to attaching bolts 1.

^

Install cover attaching bolts 1 and torque to 75 N-m (55 Ft.Lbs.).

Oil leaking under car - final drive flange seal leaking

A leaking final drive flange seal may be caused by the seal lip sticking to the drive flange. This occurs most often at cold (below 32~F) temp. on the right
side seal.
