The introduction of the corrosion perforation warranty on all 1985 Volkswagen vehciles requires special attention be given to the installation of certain
exterior bolt-on parts..  These include the front fenders, hoods and lids on all vehicles.

Sandwiched between these body parts are zinc foil plates (Part No. AK1 381 035 50) and a sealing tape on the fenders (Part No. D 001 900)

CAUTION

Always replace or reinstall the zinc plates and sealing tape to insure adequate corrosion protection.
