Water leaks at the rear edge of the sunroof may be caused by an improperly installed sunroof lip seal..

If sunroof leaks at the rear edge, - perform the following:

Work sequence

-

remove sliding roof panel

FIGURE  1 - LIP SEAL IMPROPERLY INSTALLED

-

examine lip seal for proper installation

Note

Lip seal must not touch weatherstrip

-

remove lip seal from water tray

-

clean old adhesive from water tray and lip seal

-

apply high strength weatherstrip adhesive to base of groove in lip seal

-

apply adhesive to both sealing edges along full length of water tray
