Spring type (A) coolant hose clamps are now used exclusively.. New parts are identified by:
-

coolant hose

^

has smooth inner surface and identified by spring clamp symbol (B)

-

flange on cylinder head

^

approximately 5 mm (13/64 in.) longer and now machined (previously cast)

^

raised ridge (C) slightly higher

To insure proper sealing of coolant hose, position clamp 4 mm (5/32 in.) from end of hose.
