Remove oil pan to remove and install

Before installing, remove oil remains from crankshaft journal with a clean cloth.

Do not add oil or grease to the oil seal sealing lip
-
Remove protective sleeve first after sealing flange has been slid onto crankshaft journal
PTFE seals:

Do not add oil or grease to the oil seal sealing lip.

Coil spring seals:
-
Lightly oil or grease the oil seal sealing lip.

Difference between oils seals
Note:

The oils seals for the sealing flange are shown individually for a clearer illustrations. Replace all sealing flange seals when replacing sealing
flange.

PTFE seals (Teflon) -2- have been introduced gradually to replace the coil spring type seals -1-. These seals have wider sealing lip.

PTFE oil seals are installed free of oil and grease.

If PTFE seals are installed then only these seals may be used as replacement parts.
