MDI Cable Diagnosis

The following concerns can be checked by manipulating the cable or by substituting a known good cable:

Sporadic or complete loss of left and/or right audio channel

^

iPod battery charging is intermittent

^

Device not recognized

If functionality returns after cable manipulation, then replace cable.

Tip:
Older iPods may not connect securely due to connector design changes. To verify MDI cable integrity test the connection with a newer compatible iPod
or iPhone(R) device.

Media Input Volume Adjustment

Tip:
Quality of music can become distorted if the volume of the media device is set to higher than 50% and / or radio is set to medium (normal) or higher.
