Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch and Deactivate Vehicle Inclination Sensor Button

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Trim removal wedge (VAS 3409)

‹› The interior monitoring deactivation switch and the deactivate vehicle inclination sensor button are a single component.

‹› To remove the interior monitoring deactivation switch and deactivate vehicle inclination sensor button, anti-theft warning system must be

deactivated. Refer to => [ Anti-Theft Alarm System, Activating and Deactivating ] See: Antitheft and Alarm Systems/Description and
Operation/Anti-Theft Alarm System.

‹› When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool (trim removal

wedge, screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

‹› interior monitoring deactivation switch and deactivate vehicle inclination sensor button are located in B-pillar trim on driver's side.

Removing:

Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

Carefully pry out interior monitoring deactivation switch and the deactivate vehicle inclination sensor button - 1 - using a trim removal wedge or a
screwdriver.

Release and disconnect the connector - arrow -.
